SQUEE I am so over the moon to be able to share this with you all. My first Ridgeline Poncho by @thebluebrickish is finished! This knit was such an incredible joy to work on. I love how it starts off like a raglan sweater and then gracefully turns into a poncho rather than a sweater. The bamboo rib pattern was so cool, it looks complex and yet it was quite easy. This was definitely a popcorn knit with the beautiful color transitions. I’m already looking forward to working on my next Ridgeline poncho.

Just a clarification, this yarn was dyed by @thebluebrickish and is not handspun. I apologize to anyone who may have been confused. I do work with hand dyed yarn on occasion.

A closer view of the third of eight sections for my Jaunty out of the gradient set Avenue. I love the greens, teals, and sky blues in this section. I’m eager to start in on the fourth section as it features a lot of gorgeous greens. This will be the last section for this half and then the decreases start!

Photo taken after my video recording earlier to prove that my photography is NOT AI. Believe me Deputy Blueberry, Sheriff Daisy, and Puds do not put up with that sort of nonsense and neither do I. It would be sacrilege to use AI for my work and a waste of the amount of time, money, and and effort I have put into honing my photography skills.

I cannot believe in all the years I’ve been a photographer that folks are now trying to call me out as using AI for my work. I am a professional photographer, this is what I do for a living. I have a BA in photography from the @usffw @usffw_arts. I use a Canon R5 with an Einstein Strobe to achieve the beautiful even lighting in my photos. For the RAW processing of my photos I use @captureone and for editing @photoshop. My editing is extremely limited with the only editing in photoshop being to edit any dust and stray hairs that end up sneaking their way into my photos and occasionally some slight tweaks to contrast and to brighten the white background.

Before accusing or assuming someone uses AI in their work maybe take a few minutes and look through their work. I’ve been publishing my work well before the time of AI.

Getting closer and closer to finishing my Ridgeline Poncho! I love how vibrant these colors are and the soft transitions of color. I cannot wait to start wearing this. It’s going to be so cozy. I have 19% left of the Kraken skein and all that’s left is to keep on knitting rib until I only have enough for the bind off.

Rooster on Rideau Sport 100% Superwash Merino dyed by @thebluebrickish. The original 15.5 oz skein was wound on the @daedalusspinningwheels Roly-Poly and I’ve elected to knit from the center so the ball is looking quite deflated. 😂

I’ve knitted through the first of 8 braids from the Avenue gradient set. So far, I’m very pleased with the subtle color changes. Now onto the next braid of the gradient!
