Anticipation
My favorite part about this shot has to be the leopard's eye. It looks so intent, watching, waiting, as if its trying to anticipate what will happen next.

This Puma had a keen eye on a small toddler running back and forth on the board walk. He'd watch and follow the kid's every movement. I'm sure he was extremely hungry.

Bath Time for Suci
I was chatting to a zoo keeper who happened to be giving a talk about Suci. He said she is the only Rhino they have ever seen or heard about that hates being dirty! She knows that the mud gets rid of the flies, but she detests being dirty. She'll submerge herself and roll around in her mud bath for awhile and then she will head over to her waterfall to clean off.

Suci
This is Suci. She is the second Sumatran Rhino to be born at the Cincinnati Zoo. Her older brother was the first calf to be born in captivity in over 112 years. Her parents Emi and Ipuh are part of a world wide breeding program in order to save the species. There are an estimated 150-300 left in the world.

Aruba Island Rattlesnake
Textures in nature have always intrigued me, to see the patterns and how they fall into place. It's very fascinating to be able to see snake scales up close and person. This was taken through glass. I love how it almost seems like he has a slightly sinister grin to his face.

Mr Tidy
This photo is one of the oldest I'll be putting here. It is one of my all time personal favorites. I call him Mr. tidy and have ever since I saw him chewing on this kitty litter bucket like a dog chewing on a bone. His actual name is Onyo. He is one of my favorite lions as he always seems to have the most beautiful expressions on his face.

Leafy Sea Dragon
It seems that underwater creatures are lacking in my gallery. In most cases the lighting situations aren't too grand in aquariums, but I thought I'd give these creatures a chance. This is a Leafy Sea Dragon closely related to Sea Horses. Their tank was almost pitch black and flash was prohibited due to their light sensitivity.
