I was trying so hard not to cry because I’m so proud of Adan for doing what’s best for him at this time. I’ve been on this Akerworks ride since nearly the beginning back when the discussion was on the Majacraft forum. Ever since then I’ve been connected in one way or another with so many fun things with Akerworks.

I’m such a sap, I keep all the notes and letters I receive… and well as can be seen I’ve received a lot from Team Akerworks. This last one from Jacque had me balling. 😭😭😭 I am so thankful to have become friends with Adan and Jacque and so happy to be so close to such an amazing team of makers.

I hate being in front of the camera but it’s the best way to show off gorgeous knits fitted perfectly to me. This was my second sweater knit ever and my first gradient sweater using a gorgeous gradient sweater kit from @thebluebrickish.

The sweater is Flax Light by @tincanknits with some bust dart modifications along with swapping out the garter rib pattern for a slip stitch pattern.

Yarn is Multnomah Falls on Huron Fingering Weight (Merino/Cashmere/Nylon 70/20/10) dyed by @thebluebrickish

It snowed for the first time this winter. This is the latest in the season we’ve had snow since I’ve lived here. Linhart graciously played photographer for me so I could get some photos wearing my Ridgeline Poncho. I love this poncho so much!

SQUEE I am so over the moon to be able to share this with you all. My first Ridgeline Poncho by @thebluebrickish is finished! This knit was such an incredible joy to work on. I love how it starts off like a raglan sweater and then gracefully turns into a poncho rather than a sweater. The bamboo rib pattern was so cool, it looks complex and yet it was quite easy. This was definitely a popcorn knit with the beautiful color transitions. I’m already looking forward to working on my next Ridgeline poncho.

It would be sacrilege to use AI for my work and a waste of the amount of time, money, and and effort I have put into honing my photography skills.

I cannot believe in all the years I’ve been a photographer that folks are now trying to call me out as using AI for my work. I am a professional photographer, this is what I do for a living. I have a BA in photography from the @usffw @usffw_arts. I use a Canon R5 with an Einstein Strobe to achieve the beautiful even lighting in my photos. For the RAW processing of my photos I use @captureone and for editing @photoshop. My editing is extremely limited with the only editing in photoshop being to edit any dust and stray hairs that end up sneaking their way into my photos and occasionally some slight tweaks to contrast and to brighten the white background.

Before accusing or assuming someone uses AI in their work maybe take a few minutes and look through their work. I’ve been publishing my work well before the time of AI.
